The potager shed
I was shocked to find that lots of my lettuces and other young plants had suffered a night time attack by a creature unknown.
Much as I welcome seeing birds having a lovely time in the potager, I could do without them decimating my plants.
For the past few Sundays I’ve been running a workshop for members of our 500-strong Herault Gardener Facebook group.
There’s a ferocious wind blowing outside and my greenhouse has had chunks blown out of it.
We’ve had no rain for absolutely ages - probably since January, so it was wonderful to have a morning of sunshine and showers.
When the first strawberry flower pops out you know spring can’t be so very far away. This bed has special resonance for us.
The last blog, that I’d been writing for about six years, was hacked repeatedly so, although I was able to rescue some of it, I have taken it off the former platform and it’s here now, in all its re-born glory.
